- If you don’t have a Coinbase account already, head to www.coinbase.com and click “Sign Up” at the top of the home page.
- You should come to a screen where you can pick whether you want an individual or business account. Pick individual.
- Then, create your account by filling in your name, email address, and password.
- An email will be sent to the address you typed in so that you can verify your email.
- Go to the email that was sent and press “Verify Email Address.”
- Select your state and then enter your phone number. Then, enter the code that was sent to your phone. Then select your citizenship.
- Complete the form shown below “Verify your identity”
- Once your identity has been verified, select the total value that you expect to transfer to your account in a year as well as the industry you work in. If none of the listed industries applies to you, click “All Other Industries & Services.”
- Verify your ID by taking a photo of your ID or driver’s license.
- Select your payment method by choosing your bank and verifying your bank account.
- Hooray, you’re all set with Coinbase! It only gets easier from here.
- What you’ll want to do now is go get a phantom wallet.
- Click on the first link from chrome.google and press “Download.” Then enter in all fields required to make your account. Download the browser extension and mobile app
- Make sure you protect your private key and seed phrase (secret recovery phrase) in a cold wallet and paper wallet.
- Pin the wallet to your browser extension or put it on an important place on mobile. The puzzle piece they want you to click is on the top right of your screen next to your search bar for pinning extensions.
- Awesome! Now, go to your Coinbase account and click the blue button on the top of the home screen that says “Buy/Sell.” Then select Solana.
- Click “Buy Solana” and you’ll see the balance show up on your dashboard.
- Go to your wallet extension and click on the wallet title. Then go to “Your Solana Address” and copy the address.
- On Coinbase, click the button to the immediate right of the “Buy/Sell” button, labeled “Send/Receive.” Make sure you’re paying with Solana. In the “to” section, paste your address. Put in $100 (or whatever amount you chose) as the amount. Click “Continue” and then “Send Solana.”
- You’ll see your funds pop up in your wallet in a couple minutes.
- Now, you can select any NFT you want and, as long as you have the sufficient funds, buy that NFT by clicking “Buy Edition.” Enjoy your seamless experience!
